Iconic Mosque - Dubai

The Dubai Creek Development has launched an international Competition to design an iconic mosque, in the line of the famous Dubai Creek tower. Our approach to the iconic religious project walks through the main features of a mosque typology; such as a prominent minaret, with its boldness and technological feature calls out for prayer; giving in the same time, an interrupted gateway shape from the Creek tower to the city skyline. The openness of the circulation flow, gives away different performances approach to the mosque. Due to the harsh weather of Dubai, the spiritual operation is acted through shaded dynamic space so to perform prayers.
