Saida Ferry Terminal
-
The Saida Ferry Terminal design comprises of a social infrastructure injected with a transportation program at the port and waterfront of the old city of Saida in Lebanon; thus transforming Saida from a port city into the portal of the entire country. The scope of the project addresses the fields of architecture, urban design, and infrastructure; it engages Saida socio-economic, socio-political, and socio-cultural fabric, whilst addressing a major infrastructural problem. The design is evolved from the belief in quality of life and interaction as the infrastructure for an ecologically, economically, and socially sustainable city.
