Zawyet Ibn Iraq, located in the main entrance of the Beirut Souks. The Souks has historically been at the commercial heart of Beirut. They sustained severe damage during the Lebanese Civil War and were rebuilt by Solidere according to the ancient Greek street grid, maintaining the historic landmarks and pre-war street names. Zawyet Ibn Iraq was rehabilitated during the construction of the modernized Souks to highlight the history, preserve the artifacts, and historical landmarks that exist within the area of the Souks.
