Much like the country for which it is named, the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Qatar consists of 7 buildings, each representing one of the 7 small emirates that make up the UAE. The buildings are interconnected and a covering with an arabesque motif is laid over the negative space unifying the project as one mass and acts as a shading device from the sun.
