Fast Track Rehabilitation (125 Schools) - Beirut

  • We have undertaken the fast track rehabilitation of 125 Damaged schools after the Beirut Blast that occurred in August 4, 2020. The lot of schools included the notable Al-Mufti Hassan Khaled (Hawd El Wilaya) Historical Public School in Beirut, Lebanon.

    The rehabilitation projects were funded by The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in addition to United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF). Each organization allocated and funded for the urgent rehabilitation of several lots of public and private schools and universities damaged by the blast.

    The overall goal of the project was to provide a complete fast track recovery of the education sector after the devastating explosion, in addition to adding new long-term solutions for improving the access and quality of learning to all students.

    Some schools were historical buildings that required special restoration works for their sand stone facades, arches, internal wooden ceiling.
