Founder and CEO

Abdulwahed Chehab co-founded LDRS in 2014 as a new generation architecture and engineering company which came as a next-gen off-spring of the latter architecture and engineering companies "A.Chehab" and "Leaders" which he founded in 1979 and 1991 respectively. Mr.Chehab is currently the chairman and sits on the board of directors of LDRS.

Through vast experience in the architecture and engineering realm over the years and a series of awards and honorable mentions in the industry, Mr.Chehab developed a reputation for himself and his companies for the in-house design and implementation of projects on a multidisciplinary level tackling projects of various programs, complexities and scales. The latter founded companies quickly gained a reputation for undertaking a broad scope of work from urban master plans, public infrastructure, civic and cultural buildings, hospitals, offices and workspaces, to private residences.

Alongside his architecture and engineering practice Mr.Chehab is a professor at the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) accredited faculty of architecture and engineering at BAU (Beirut Arab University), and actively gives lectures and seminars in various governmental and academic institutions internationally.

Architect, Planner, and Professor, Mr.Chehab is also the principal owner of “A.Chehab architects and engineers”, principal owner of ”Leaders architects & engineers”, executive partner in the “International Consulting and Investment Company” (ICI), partner in the Canadian consulting company “MHTC”, and partner in the English consulting company “Leaders MPA”.

Mr.Chehab is also the proud recipient of various awards including the prestigious Agha Khan Award for Architecture which he received 1989 for the restoration of the Great Omari Mosque in Lebanon, The Presidential Award for the design and restoration of the UNESO Palace in 1999, The Orphan Welfare Society Award for the design of various orphan schools across Lebanon in 2011, The Iraqi Parliament International Competition Award for the design of the Iraqi parliament in 2012, and the DPNA and BAU Awards for Architecture and Engineering excellence in 2013.

Abdulwahed Chehab holds a Bachelors of Architecture, a Bachelors of Science in City Planning, and a Masters of Urban Planning from BAU, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Belford in the United States.
